Espetus Brazilian Steak House

I have heard a lot of good things about this place but I have always been skeptical about word of mouth . So one day my wifes family and I had the chance to have dinner here and it is one of the best places I have been to in years. Although it doesnt sound appetizing the chicken hearts is one of the most delicious choice of meat they have here. Dont knock it until you have tried it .

I had very high expectations for this place, I think i was satisfied but had some other vision of what the atmosphere would look like. It seemed on the "small side" and it felt that way when you visit the salad bar. I visited a different Brazilian steakhouse in TX with the same price range but was elegant. Espetus was disappointing in the decor.



The steak itself was nice, and flavorful.. slightly salty for my taste. So do have some salad to help with the over saltiness of the meat. The star is of course the 'picata' -- i think its some special cut of beef and it shines in all brazilian steakhouses. Definitely hold out for that and not fill up on filler meats like the chicken or the lamb. These are ok, but you want to get your money's worth.



The wine menu is nice and they do offer cocktails from their bar area.



its above average place since San Francisco Bay area doesn't really have that many of these places to compare. If I had to recommend a better place. Go checkout Fugo Da Chao (in Texas) - its worth every dollar spent.

My husband and friends find this place to be clean, confortable and needles to say quite filling.. Great food and drink..we bring all our out of town guests to enjoy the fantastic fare..
