Calaco Grill

The most unique Mexican food I've ever had! Nobody else can make a taco like this - best to try: The Especial! Extremely addicting!

For my first time in downtown San Diego, I had a great experience. Calaco Grill contributed to that experience. First off, this is a nice restaurant with awesome decor. My expectation was that the food should be as awesome, and it definitely was! The tacos are so good that I ordered another after I was done with my meal, AND although I was stuffed, I really wanted to order more! The queso taco which is a really good variation of a carne asada taco is my favorite. I will definitely be back!

I lived in san diego all my life and gone down to Tijuana plenty of times and I never had tacos as good and addicting as the tacos I found at Calaco Grill. This place is awesome and unique. I went again just yesterday and tried the chamorro plate and fell in love. Everything I've had so far has been great. I strongly recommend this place for Mexican food.

Have the Shrimp with Cilantro sauce! !!..Great bar!, 2 big plasma TV's to watch all the games and a very positive atmosphere! Friendly faces all over! Highly recommended!
