I looooove Bandar's chicken kabab and green salad. My husband can't get enough of the lamb shank mixed with the hummus avocado...we could eat it everyday! The staff service is also always very friendly and dressed nicely.

Everything was Excellent! My 1st time here. We will definatley tell our friends and return with them.

What a fabulous find! The appetizers were so delicious. They have a combo plate where you can try 4 of the appetizers. A unique twist to the standard hummus (which they also have on the menu) is the hummus guacomole. What a wonderful combination! I also enjoyed the shallot yogurt dip, and the best was their eggplant dip drizzled in yogurt. We ordered 2 more servings of the eggplant appetizer because it was so good! It had lots of garlic, a touch of olive oil, and it tasted almost meaty. By the time the main meal of kabobs arrived, we were all stuffed from the divine dips. We were shocked at the size of the kabobs. They were HUGE! Each piece of meat was atleast 2 oz. As you know most kabobs have bite size pieces, but this was no usual kabob. The chicken was infused with saffron and spices that make my mouth water now just remembering it. The filet mignon kabob was the BEST filet mignon I have ever had and I've eaten a lot of filet mignon at some of the best restaurants in LA. This surpasses them all hands down. I don't know what they marinated the meat in but it tasted so amazing and the beef was so tender, it melted in my mouth. The only thing I wish was that Bandar was in Los Angeles because I was only visiting San Diego and I really want to go back to this restaurant on a regular basis. This place was just excellent. The service and atmosphere were great too. There is a parking garage across the street too for convienant parking in the gaslamp district.

My wife and I had been to Bandar on many occasions when we lived downtown a couple of years ago. The food was always fantastic and the surroundings pleasant. It was our go-to place to take visitors when they came to town; it never failed to impress. We just recently returned to San Diego after a year away and we made sure to make Bandar one of our first stops for dinner. Initially we made the mistake of going into the wrong Bandar and when we saw the Meditteranean menu we knew something had changed. The nice hostess cleared things up for us and we moved two doors north to the "real" Bandar. We usually order the Koobideh Kabab, my favorite, and the Adas Polo, my wife's. The portions are huge though, and we'd already eaten well at lunch, so this time we just ordered the Adas Polo and shared. The chicken was as deliciously flavored, succulent and tender as we remembered. It came with some equally tasty saffron flavored rice full of raisins and dates. We topped it off with a side of their yogurt cucumber dip, which my wife loves. I'm not a big cucumber fan, but I have to admit that it does go well with the Adas Polo. We've never had any problems getting a seat, even on busy nights without a reservation. The service has always been courteous and professional. With all the restaurants to choose from in the downtown area, the fact that I am looking forward to my next meal at Bandar should be recommendation enough. Next time though, I'll definitely be ordering the Koobideh. Mmmm... Koobideh

Great atmosphere – elegant and modern. Loved the avocado Hummus and chicken dish with black cherries. In town from Sacramento and made a special visit to see your restaurant.

I’ve been coming to Bandar since 2000 (ten years) My Girlfriend and I are truly greatful for the food. We Love it! And the personell at Bandar. We always recommend this Restaurant to family and friends, and now they’re loving it as well.
