Stater Bros.

I purchased chicken at this store last week and then found out about: the Salmonella outbreak. . this is a headline quote from the internet. . ."Salmonella Outbreak 2013 News Update, Symptoms and Treatment: Foster Farms Chicken Sickens 278 in California, Texas, Washington, Florida." The numbers to look for on the "Salmonella chicken" were P6137, P6137A, and P7632. Well, as I had just finished cooking some chicken I thought I should check out the packages. I could not believe it that I had some with P6137 on it and that this Stater Bros had placed a label right below the Foster Farm label with the Stater Bros price label covering the P6137 number. I went to my freezer and checked the other Foster Farm labels and the numbers were covered also. The numbers were P6137. I called the store then That was two nights ago and asked to speak to the manager. I asked why the numbers were covered up. He said that the Stater Bros. Headquarters had told them to do it and laughed when I asked him why would they do such okey-dokey dishonesty. He replied that the chicken was not recalled.
