Best Friends Animal Hospital

They are very helpful and took VERY good care of my puppy I will continue to give them my business

My last visit with Best Friends will be my last one. My dog Cooky who was 2 ½ years old most likely got into some radiator fluid which I did not know last Monday night. I blame myself for not taking her in earlier but when I called Best Friends on Wednesday morning at 0900 and told them that my dog has been vomiting and not eating or drinking any water for over a day and a half. I was told to bring her in the next day on Thursday at 0800. The staff there should have known something was extremely wrong with her and should have told me to bring her in ASAP when I called. I took her in on Thursday morning after I dropped her off I called Cross Creek Animal Hospital and told them the same story. They said they would have told me to bring the dog in ASAP and not wait the following day to see Cooky. I had to have her put to sleep a few days later because the Radiator fluid has done its job on my dog. I will say the Doctors at Best Friends are very good at doing their job but the front desk staff needs to be trained better at their job!

BIG SHOUT OUT to Dr. Hackworth and his staff!!! They are very caring, gentle, and generous people. They have always managed to fit us in the same day for emergencies. They offer weekend emergency services for established clients/patients as well! (Which is pretty much unheard of in this area). I was looking for a new vet for my dog, and also had an immediate emergency issue when I found Dr. Hackworth's animal hospital, and these other great reviews. My previous vet's office did not even bother to respond to an emergency call over a weekend, and even into the following week they still never bothered to call. After researching all of the other vet clinics between Lebanon - St. Robert, I decided to take my "best friend" here. We've felt very comfortable with this clinic from the get-go. Even our dog, who is always nervous at a vet's clinic, was unusually calmer than I've ever seen him...like he senses he's safe. Dr. Hackworth is very knowledgeable, and he does his homework and research on pet products, medications, flea/tic control, etc, etc. I can tell that Dr. Hackworth and his staff truly enjoy their work and want to help our pets. They offer a huge variety of treatments and services at this clinic, like I've never seen from other rural and/or small town vets! We moved here from a big city almost one year ago, and the services they offer are that of a big city vet! I am SO impressed, and I am SO relieved to have finally found my little buddy his regular vet! Thank you Dr. Hackworth and staff! You guys and gals ROCK, and I am so grateful for you!!!

Recently moved to Ft Wood and my dog became ill. Took her to another vet in St. Robert who only wanted to put her to sleep! The doctors at Best Friends gave another opinion and treated her back arthritis and pancreatitis. We got multiple updates several times daily during her stay. They really care! We have our dog back again chasing the kids.

My entire family left for a weekend trip and boarded our five dogs with Best Friends. From the very beginning the staff seemed confused over which dog needed what vaccinations and which dog was up to date. They were provided with all of the proper paper work for the three dogs that were not already patients at their facility. When returned to pick our pets up I discovered that the three dogs who were not patients at Best Friends had recieved rabies shots that they did not need. Two were not due until August, however one of our smaller dogs was not due until Feb. of 2013. I will never use their facility again. I am only grateful that at this time no adverse reactions are shown in the health and well being of our beloved animals

On halloween of 2010, we had an emergency with our cat. We had never been to this vet before, but they offered emergency services.Long story short, the staff was very caring, helpful and all around wonderful.We had a different vet as our regular, but after this visit, we changed. i will be forever grateful, to the staff here. The hospital is very clean, doesnt smell like most vet offices..and the animals dont seem nervous when going there...they are spoiled by the staff!
