I purchased a 96 Camry for $2200 that he claimed used to belong to his mother so it's in good running condition - I'm convinced he charged me an additional $500 because of tax season. They car was sold under an as if warranty but I know someone who used him as a mechanic for many years so I figured if there are any problems he will also fix it. Well, a week after having the car it cut off on the highway - he told me I needed a new engine and it would take a week. I paid $1100 for the engine and picked the car up that following Friday. Literally the NEXT morning the car stopped on the highway AGAIN. He said he would inspect it again and held it for two weeks. I got the car back after two weeks and was PROMISED that there will be no more issues and to bring the car back in a week for a follow up. Good Samaritans who helped push the car to the side always told me to check my battery because apparently when the battery is critically low it will drain the power from the engine.





Let me tell you! I didn't even last two days before it stopped on the highway for a third time! I demanded my money back because apparently this car is unsafe. I was told that I would ONLY receive HALF the money for the car and not anything from the engine. Save your money and your cars health - NEVER make "1st Choice" your first choice.
