Geri's Country Kennels

We have been bringing our beloved pooch to Geri since we moved here a year ago and have been very satisfied. Geri knows dogs, understands what they need beyond just the basics and makes them feel right at home. Our Molly can be a little skiddish upon first meeting new people. Not so with Geri. Even with the commotion of the kennel, she got a good vibe off her right away :) Molly loves getting to see Geri. We will keep coming as long as we live here.

I used this kennel one other time with my havanese. I will never use them again. Was told that my sweet havanese pooped and peed all over the house and cowered under chairs. She was obviously frightened by the new " rescue" dog. So she was banished to the outside kennel. I hired them because I wanted her to be in a " home" atmosphere, not a kennel. I could have placed her in any number of kennels if that is what I wanted. She got along great the first time she was there and came home happy. This time she stank so bad and her voice has changed obviously from constant barking from loneliness . I never received a phone call about this even tho she had my daughters phone number and she could have picked her up. It just about kills me to think about what she must have gone through to make her lose control of herself like that and to have her voice change. I really feel that Geri's let me down and didn't handle the situation correctly . If your dog is bullying someone else's dog in your care and you are getting paid then the " bully" should be kennelled. I did not get what I paid for and my sweet dog was not treated right. Also she said my dog wouldn't relieve herself on the leash. She is always on a leash when we travel or are at the lake so she is very used to that. There obviously wasn't a problem the first time she stayed there. I am just sick about this. Oh, and she has never relieved herself in our house, even as a puppy. This whole situation was handled very badly. Never again. To her credit, Geri didn't lie to me, which she could very easily have done. I would never have known. I'm only giving the star rating because they wouldn't let me post this without one.

very clean and excellent with the animals. We have used Geri's several times in 2011 and our little dog always does well.
