        Twisted Twig® Winery is a boutique winery nestled in the Sierra Foothills between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe, specializing in Ultra-Premium handcrafted California red wines. We use a collaborative wine making approach, whereby throughout the entire wine making process we have a team of winemakers and consultants that taste our wines and give their input. Only after, sometimes hours of debate, testing and collaboration do we finally agree upon the best approach to maximize the potential for that vintage and harvest. This allows us to provide excellent drinkable wines year after year that the team agrees as being the finest wine we can produce. Our winemaking techniques range from a blend of the classic French wine farm tradition, American techniques and historical lessons. Twisted Twig® Winery is quickly becoming recognized as one of the most consistent Ultra-Premium California Sierra Foothill wineries producing high quality very desirable sought after wines year after year. Our wines can be purchased on-line or at the tasting room for customer pick-up, or shipment to 39 states.         Location
        Located inside “The Underground Tasting Room” directly across the street from the CA, Railroad Museum in Historic Old Sacramento. Located below street level (on the original level of the city) so go down the stairs onto the bricks o enter the tasting room, directly below the candy store. Approximately 5 blocks from the state capitol, 2 blocks from the Amtrak Station and 11.6 miles from the Sacramento International Airport 1 block off I-5.

        Overall

        This place is definitely worth checking out! Awesome location and amazing wine! The 2005 Storyline Syrah with the Johnny Garlics Cedar Plank Salmon sounds to die for!! Something I will need to try very soon!

        Excellent wines. Primarily specializes in Ultra-Premium Reds from El Doardo County. Their Epic Cabernet is a lighter style that will pair excellent with just about any red meat. I hear they are doing a white port that has not been released yet. I like their promotions on their website.

        Stopped by here the other day with my wife and loved it! Delicious wine, an adorable, cozy, tasting room, and best of all...really nice people. We had a delightful visit and loved the wine. We also went home with some of the chutney on sale. Next time your looking for a day trip, head down to Old Sac and stop by, you won't regret it.

        You probably haven't heard of this winery yet, but you will! If you like wine you owe it to yourself to taste these delicious offerings. Premium quality taste, and delectable aromas for the mid-range budget. They also have an affordable wine club and great deals on their futures. Check it out!
