The City of Rowlett Public Works and Utilities Department is responsible for the administration and supervision of engineering, fleet maintenance, streets, traffic, wastewater and water utility, and facilities and storm water management divisions. Its storm water management division offers a range of services that includes the repair of damaged underground pipes and clearing of sediments and blockages from drainage ditches and channels. The department s streets division provides repair and maintenance services for streets and alleys within the city. The City of Rowlett Public Works and Utilities Department also installs and maintains street and traffic signs, school zone lights and traffic signals. Its water utility division is responsible for the storage and distribution of water. Located in Rowlett, Texas, the department employs a staff of more than 65 people.
