Pediatric Care
After training, Dr. Sonnen was board certified in General Pediatrics. He returned to Texas in 1998 and joined a large group practice in Mesquite where he practiced pediatrics for 11 years. He also received a faculty appointment to The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, where he taught medical students the fundamentals of pediatric care for 11 years. His special area of interest is childhood vaccine advocacy.
Primary Care
Carrying on with her dreams of becoming a pediatric nurse practitioner, she continued schooling for her Bachelorâ€™s degree in Nursing from Northwestern State University. She then attended graduate school at the University of South Alabama, obtaining her Masterâ€™s of Science in Nursing with a focus in pediatric primary care. As a nurse practitioner, is passionate about collaborating with families to ensure the lifelong health of their children.
Ear Infections
We offer diagnostics for many acute symptoms such as ear infections, sore throats, flu, colds, and other illnesses.
Family Practice
Dr. Pascoe obtained her undergraduate degree at Chapman College, California and her medical degree from the University of Southern California. She completed her residency in family medicine at Kaiser Hospital in California, followed by a specialty fellowship in adolescent medicine at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles.
Emergency Care
Often illness can occur when our office is not open. When we are not open, we have a dedicated, experienced pediatric nurse available to you by phone for consultation. Also, one of our board certified doctors or nurse practitioners is on-call as well. In the event your child needs to be seen during the hours our office is closed, we feel that it is best for children, especially young children and infants, to be evaluated by a facility accustomed to seeing children. For children needing urgent care after hours, we will refer you to Children's Health of Dallas or an urgent care specializing in pediatrics.
Infectious Diseases
Dr. Sonnen is a Texas native, growing up in the San Antonio area. He received an undergraduate degree in microbiology from Texas A&M University in 1991. He followed that with an M.D. from Texas A&M Health Science Center in 1995. Dr. Sonnen completed his residency training in Pediatrics at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. While there, he authored several book chapters involving the treatment of infectious diseases in children.
Electrocardiogram
We offer a variety of preventative care services such as well baby exams, annual physical exams, vision & hearing screening. We offer all age appropriate vaccinations. We also offer on-site EKG & pulmonary testing.
Immunizations
What about immunizations? We strongly support infant and childhood immunizations. Our modern immunizations have greatly improved the health of our infants, children, and teens. We follow the CDC's current immunization guidelines. Many unsubstantiated rumors exist about childhood vaccines. These rumors are usually found on the internet. If you have questions about rumors or issues you've read about on the internet, please contact us and we can address your concerns.

Gynecology
You can rely on us to treat all of your chronic care needs such as asthma & ADHD. We also care for special needs such as learning disorders, developmental disabilities & adolescent gynecology.
