C H Gilmer Memorial Public Library

I had occasion to use this library earlier this month when I accompanied my husband to the area on a hunting trip. I knew I needed access to the internet so prior to leaving I looked up the address of the nearest library.



The library was built in 2001 with a grant and is both a public and the school district's library. It has up-to-date computers, books, and technology, which I was not expecting in a town of 1200 people. There are multiple computers for the public's use, and wireless is available if you wish to use your own laptop. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and were quick to answer questions and provide assistance.



I inadvertently left my jump drive in one of their computers, and it was stolen before I realized I left it. The library and school went out of their way to assist in its recovery and return it to me.
