Rivercrest Community Development District

My guests have experienced extreme racism from the Rivercrest CDD staff while using the facilities. The first time I was willing to brush past it, yet it's happened twice since with the last being the most unbearable treatment.

I am single woman who purchased a home in Riverview Florida and would like to inform the general public not to buy Real Estate in Riverview community that is managed by Rivercrest Community Association, HOA. I had a very bad experience with this HOA. I bought my home 8 years ago in Riverview and unfortunately I was scammed. The home contained toxic Chinese drywall. I could not reside in the home and the HOA was aware of the circumstances and over the last 6 years continued to send me weekly notices and violations even though I had weekly maintenance on the property. They nicked picked everything knowing that the home was vacant and I was living in NY. When they couldn’t find any violations on the property they said I had mold in the driveway, but they could not furnish any photos or evidence. My landscaper said there was no mold in the driveway; it was only discolored from the rain. Then they send notices and violations for trash cans even though I did not own any trash cans. They continued to harass me until I had to retain a lawyer. I was receiving violations and these violations accumulated approximately $6,000. They collected approximately $5,400 when the short-sale was completed in 2015. To this day they continue to sue me for the balance. The HOA has no regard for any homeowner even if the homeowner could not reside in their home because of the environmental hazard. I guess they feel I am rich since I work and live in NY, however, my attorney provided them with hardship documents so they can work with us and this situation. They have no regard for a human being. This HOA make people’s lives miserable they don’t work with the homeowners. They make your life a living hell and they discriminate against women. I would never recommend living in Riverview Community managed by this HOA. Please, do your research, before you buy real estate in Riverview especially managed HOA, Rivercrest Community Association.
