Parkdale High School serves more than 2,200 students in grades nine through 12. It offers a magnet program that includes instruction in arts and humanities, social sciences, mathematics and computer sciences. The school also offers an International Baccalaureate program that prepares students for postsecondary success at local and international universities. The school has more than five computer labs with Internet access. Its labs are used for classes in keyboarding, computer applications, programming with java and visual basic, SAT practice and website design. Parkdale High School also has teams in sports, such as swimming, soccer, softball, track, volleyball, football, cheerleading and wrestling. Located in Riverdale, Md., the school is a part of the Prince George's County Public Schools.
