Yikes. I was referred to this...

Yikes. I was referred to this shop by a random shop I called for a specific auto part upgrage. I was a bit nervous, as the shop is in a high-crime area and they have no parking lot for cars they work on, only street parking on a busy street. The reviews on google and city search (there were only two) seemed very 50/50...great service or horrible service. I called and set an appointment to bring my auto in. The folks on the phone were very polite and helpful. I asked that the owner, who said he would be working on my auto, please call me as I had some questions about the install. No call and two full days later, I called back. My service hadn't been started and was not going to be started until the following week. I was shocked, and slightly put off. I use my auto for work and not having it puts a huge stress on my job and schedule. When my service was not finished on the date the owner gave me, I called back again. He was not in, I asked that he call please. I recieved no call, at the end of the day I called back. He answered that my part was not going to work, even though the manufacturer assured me it would. He offered to call the manufacturer, but asked if I had their number. The number was printed in giant, bold letters on yellow paper on the first page of the instructions, which were included in the part's packaging. I told him it was there, he said he would call them and call me back. If he had even looked at the instructions for the kit install, he would have known it was there. Instead he chose to not do anything. I asked to pick my truck up, service undone. I was tired of waiting and being put off after a full seven days. The install should have taken an hour, as per another shop. When I arrived to get my truck, it had a flat tire and was parked UNLOCKED on the street. It barely runs at all now, I have no idea what was done but I am getting it towed to a different shop to install the upgrade and fix what Baskfield did. I can't believe I didn't go with my gut feeling on this one, especially after a week of wasted time and an unknown looming bill to fix the half-job that Baskfield did.

High Quality, Done Right and On Time

First of all, I am not related to anyone at Baskfield. I have been bringing my vehicles there since 2000. I have never had an issue with quality. My cars (and trucks) have been serviced correctly the first time and returned to me within the timeframe that was agreed to. I have had brake, cooling system, electrical, engine, exhaust and suspension work performed over the years. Curtis and his team have had to troubleshoot some pretty complicated issues and in each case I have left their shop a satisfied customer. In addition, I have recommended them to a number of friends and associates and I can report that each of them was satisfied with the work done on their vehicle. High quality at the right price is a great combination especially in today's economy. I wholeheartedly recommend Baskfield for your automotive repair needs.
