I just want to give a shout out to the best Vet I have ever had. Dr. Stephanie is amazing and her true compassion for animals shines in her work everyday! I feel she is truly an Angel on earth. She is definitely in the right field and we are lucky to have her to take such special care of our fur babies. Thank you Dr. Stephanie from the bottom of my heart! ♥ Tami Paque

Overall

We have been going to Reedsville Veterinary Associates just short of four years for all our animal's needs. On May 1st, 2015 I took my chocolate lab in to get spayed (at this time she was just under six months old). I paid a total of $259.13. When I picked her up and got her in the car she whimpered the entire ride home, and once she was home she just laid on the floor and whimpered for the rest of the day. I thought this was odd since we got our black lab spayed almost four years ago and had no complications. However, we did nothing just thinking she was sore. By the next day she seemed to be her old self. A week later however my Fiance had noticed two scabs on her side, her incision was looking a little infected so I set up a follow up appointment to have her incision looked at. While at her follow up (which the doctor just gave us antibiotics for the incision) I had mentioned the odd scabs on her side. The vet stated "We must have burned her, just keep an eye on it to make sure it heals okay and follow up again in a week." I was stunned and could not believe what I had heard. I took her home and gave the antibiotics and went to the follow up as instructed. At her next follow up the vet had told us that in time it would heal and you wouldn't be able to tell it had happened. I brushed it all off as I thought if you wouldn't be able to see it eventually all would be fine. Barkley is now nine months old and has three large scars on her side that she will have forever. I cannot tell you how many comments I get because the scars are so large. I am embarrassed and saddened that I could have let this happen to my "furbaby." When I took Barkley in to ask for a refund because of the severity of her marks they asked how much I would want back. Being reasonable (I am in no way cheap or was looking to get money off of a surgery that we have done with all of our animals) I said I would feel half a refund would be sufficient being that she was spayed and that part of the surgery had been successful. The technician that I spoke with said she would have to talk to all the partners and get back to me. Two days later I call a call from the technician stating the partners were willing to give me half back, BUT they would be deducting the antibiotics they gave me and her follow up appointment costs. I was BLOWN away. Now I am aware that if you get your pet spayed/neutered with this vet all follow ups and medications that may be needed are covered by the surgery as we had to have a follow up and get antibiotics with our black lab almost four years prior. The ending result was that Reedsville Veterinary Associates cut me a check for $50. To say that I am unhappy with the way this situation was handled is an understatement. They told me Barkley was the first large breed dog they had burned with their heated rice packs used to keep the animal warm while under Anastasia, but they had burned three other small breed dogs before her. I was devastated that they were negligent and could have prevented what happened to her. Such a sad situation because we really liked Dr. Stephanie and even Jesse the technician was friendly. The fact that they couldn't even give me half my costs back has spoken VOLUMES about this establishment and I will sadly be looking for another vet, as will be my other family members.

Overall

Dr. Glispie is no longer at Veterinary Associates, just an FYI. I loved his care of my dogs. My dogs now see Dr. Ohlsen there and we absolutely love her. Would never take my animals anywhere else. Very caring staff with the cheapest rates. Love them
