The dental health care team at Dakota Family Dental in Rapid City, SD is dedicated to not only helping you improve your oral health, but your overall health. A healthy mouth is a key component in maintaining good overall health. Research is showing more and more associations with poor oral health and systemic, or whole body, disease. As a family dentist, our main focus is on preventative dentistry and maintaining open communication with our patients. Our goal is to involve both returning and new patients in their treatment plan, so they understand their treatment options, and the associated risks and benefits. Our dentists find that by focusing on a medical model and using science-based dentistry, they are better able to access the risks, perform treatment, and most importantly, help prevent more involved and extensive dental procedures later on.
