This shop had my Kahr from Aug...

This shop had my Kahr from August 5 until today Decemeber 5 and wasn't able to fix a trigger spring. He had it in the shop for over 3 weeks before calling and telling me the factory needs to fix it. He claims to have sent it to the factory and they sent it back unrepaired. He allegedly sent it in again and then informs me that it will cost $373 to fix. I wanted my weapon back. Today he calls and tells me I can pick it up at his shop. When I arrive he informs me that there is a $70 charge for shipping the weapon to the factory. I wanted my weapon back, to accomplish that I had to pay the $70 extortion he was demanding. I recommend if you need a gunsmith don't go to Bill's Gun Shop. This guy is a joke. He doesn't know jack.... about customer service, let alone how to fix anything more complicated than a rubber band gun. I think he got his gunsmith diploma from a cracker jack box. He certainly is testament to the peter principle, he should have stayed with plastering houses.

Disgusting LACK of Service

I want you locals to know the horrific experience I had with Bill's Gun Shop so BEWARE of your business with them! I took my 1970s Rem 1100 Semi Shotgun to them on Jan 8th to have the Interceptor Latch replaced and Bill told me that he probably had the part instock and if not it would take a few days to order it but it would take no longer than a week. When I called to check on my gun the following Thursday, his son, Joel, told me that they had placed the part on order but it was put on Back Order because Remington only ran these parts once a month. Over the next, three weeks, Bill and Joel gave me the same song and dance that the part was ordered then backordered and then ordered from another supplier. Yeah, complete BS. I asked Joel what the part number was and after I HAD corrected him of the REAL part #, it took me less than 10 minutes to find the part instock myself on the Internet and even though I called Joel back and told him where he can find my part INSTOCK, at the same cost, they continued to SIT on my gun for another 2 weeks!

When I called him back on Feb 11th to find out if it was done, 5 weeks later, Joel told me that they installed the part but it still wasnt working right. I told him that this was complete BS and I would be there to pick it up. The next day I showed up with Joel, NOW STRAPPING his sidearm as if he wanted to have a shoot out, told me he was going to keep $25 for paperwork. I told him that I would see him in court so he decided to refund all of my money THAT I PAID IN ADVANCE on Jan 8th, UNTIL, he asked me to sign a pickup receipt in which I began to document that I was very dissatisfied and the gun was not in the condition that I left it in. After he tried handing my shotgun to me in a box of a dozen pieces, he snatched the receipt out of my hand and said I could not have my gun back. I had three Police Officers show up after he showed his aggressively ugly behavior and only then did he give me my gun back. WELL GUESS WHAT, the Interceptor latch still was not replaced. Take heed... after I warned him I was going to spread this horrific experience, he stated, most of his business comes from AFRICA and he didnt need local business! Yeah they may do a decent turnaround for custom jobs, but if you are looking for a low cost, average and simple repair job BEWARE to the average customer! Heres to you Joel, with the COCKY %?# ATITUDE, Good luck with your AFRICAN business!
