Other Worlds - Games & Bookshop is a fun, friendly, community-oriented gamestore with dedicated gaming tables for in-store gaming events and casual play. We specialize in Magic: the Gathering, Warhammer, Warmachine, Role Playing Games and Sci-Fi and Fantasy 'adventure' boardgames. We also carry gaming dice, card sleeves, hobby paints and brushes, and a variety of other gaming merchandise. We encourage and attract new players of all ages as well as provide for the needs of gaming veterans by placing special orders. Visit us for a game of Magic. There's usually someone about willing to play. If not, the shopkeep himself may provide a challenge for you. If Wargames are more your thing, there are cool people to meet and play Warhammer or Warmachine with! Our Warhammer community is casual and fun-based, so if you're looking to enjoy a good game, come join us today! There are also D&D games and/or board games that are played. You never know what will be happening. Or, browse our sci-fi & fantasy books or our many boxes of thousands upon thousands of Magic singles! In addition to providing a place to play and enjoy your favorite hobby games, the next best part of the modern game store is meeting and networking with other players with similar gaming interests as yours and making new friends! ABOUT THE SHOPKEEP -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ronald Connell, the store's owner and shopkeep, took over the store in April, 2007 when it was named "Alternate Universe". As many customers had observed, the store was suffering quite a bit on the business side. They had one tournament a week, sales were low, the lighting was bad, not a lot of merchandise, and the previous ownership had already been setting their sights on a career change for some time. Fortunately, Ron's own needs and career change coincided with theirs and Ron is now appreciative of their efforts to help make this, his first business ownership venture, a reality!

We also have several boxes of unsorted TEN-CENT CARDS which many folks have fun browsing through. Since we have lots of Magic players in the community who are always looking for singles, In addition to the dozens of higher-valued singles on display, magic the gathering, no matter the size. Feel free to give us a call or bring your collection in for an evaluation. At OTHER WORLDS, organized by set, we are always interested in buying collections, we have tens of thousands of other singes, we host sanctioned Magic tournaments every Wednesday and Friday. Sunday's include the increasingly popular Elder Dragon Highlander format!
