Kenny's Landing

This place is a dump! When we first pulled in we noticed that the restaurant was closed. The new management could not afford to keep it open. We did get a good spot for set up but that's all that was good about the place. The boat ramp is not accessible. You have to drive across a 2 mile bridge to put in your boat. The showers are disgusting!! Bugs everywhere!! The convience store has a few items but not much so bring everything with you. I would nor recommend this place!

First off I never post reviews ever, also I work in a company where customer service is our number one priority. If I could give this company a 0 star rating I would. We reserved a pontoon boat for a Sunday afternoon at Kennys Landing in Lake Tawakoni we live in Ft Worth so this is a 2 hour drive away. We rented a lake house near Kenny's just so we would be close. We could have stayed near home & rented a boat for the same amount of money but for less hours so we opted to make a weekend trip of it since we would have the boat 8 hours. Our trip mostly being based off the day on the lake. Sunday morning my husband gets up bright & early to go to Kennys to make sure all is well with the boat, all seems well and ready so we are packing up to head that way when we get a call from John from Kennys to let my husband know that they are having problems with the boat & could not accommodate us. My husband tells John he will talk to me about it & call back, I ask my husband to ask if there is any other boats John says No. I speak with John & I tell him he told me they had 5 boats when I spoke with him to reserve the boat & he asks me what do I want him to do, I told him we need a boat we came 2 hours from home & our trip was solely based on the day on the lake. He says over & over what do I want him to do? When I said he should accommodate us He then asks what do you want me to do & before I answer he says "I know what Im going to do" then hangs up on me. I was not being argumentative at all or being rude, so there was no reason for him to be rude or mean & hang up that is not professional at all. I know from renting boats which we do locally all the time that boat companies have relationships with other boat companies & if they are in need of a boat they go to others even individuals that they rent boats from to accommodate customers. In a small place like Lake Tawakoni it cant be that hard. Well lucky for us Marina Del Ray just a few more miles down was able to accommodate us & funny that when we get there the nice lady that got all our paperwork together told my husband the owner from Kenny's Landing was just in there. Hmmmm as I said boat companies have relationships with other boat companies so obviously they did not care to help us out that day. I will never take a chance with them again. Marina Del Ray was super...go there!!
