        I met the owner, Matt, when we both sat on a Ford Motor Co dispute settlement board; he a technical expert and I a community advocate. Matt always seemed honest and fair so I began taking my cars to his shop and this great relationship lasted over ten years! All the guys at Virginia Auto are professional, personable and know cars in and out! They were amazing to me over the years: taking my car at the most opportune time to pass smog check and paying without my request (yes I paid them back of course), always giving me a fair deal on costs, and once even sending me flowers when I was hospitalized! The only reason I no longer use their shop is I moved out of state. I'm sorry I didn't write a review sooner, they deserve 10 STARS!! :) K.DeShay

        I asked them to check out my Van and call me after two hours. They argued with me about how long it could take and I told them to get started and call me after the two hours expired. They kept the vehicle for the entire day while they worked on other vehicles in between mine, which they admitted to doing when they should have continually worked on mine for two hours and called me so I would know what they came up with. I could have authorized more time, but they didn't like me telling them to call me after two hours, so they jerked me around for over a day and they still didn't fix my vehicle! The bill was $298.00...FOR WHAT?! I dropped my van off at 0800 and they rapped everything up the next day by 10:00 a.m. This place is a lot like Firestone. They want an open checkbook so they can pick your vehicle over and tell you everything that will eventually require replacing. Not everyone has the money to allow this to happen. I just wanted to know what was making my van idle rough. After a couple hours, I found it on my own.



        I wrote out a more detailed review on "yelp.com", but it ended up at the very bottom in the "Not Recommended" list. I'm betting the owner cried about my write-up and Yelp obliged. My review is honest and accurate! It's your call, but I am never going back!

        Matt and Tim have taken care of my cars for over 10 years. The people at Virginia Auto are always polite, friendly and easy to deal with. I always recommend them to my friends and anyone else in the downtown area.CORD D. ARMSTRONG, C.P.A.

        The boys at Virginia Auto Service have been taking care of me and my vehicles since 1995. My other mechanic closed and referred me to Matt and his team. I know my Red Ford Mustang was as special to them as it was to me. In fact, one time I had an emissions problem and not only did they fix the problem, but they took the car in for the emissions test to save me a trip. They always do something extra to surprise me. I have never had a complaint and have been 110% completely satisfied. Those boys are just a delight. MIRIOM G
