General Info

The Probation Services Division is responsible for adult and juvenile supervision. It supervises more than 70,000 adults and over 13,000 juveniles. The division arranges for counseling for substance abuse and health and family problems, as well as monitors community service work. The Probation Services Division also monitors juveniles for compliance with the rules and conditions imposed by the family court judge. It provides an intensive supervision program that includes drug, alcohol and psychological counseling services. The division works with parents, guardians, treatment providers and schools for probation and rehabilitation. The Probation Services Division is a part of New Jersey s court system, which includes the Supreme Court, appellate division, and local, tax and municipal courts.
