I have been getting my hair and my kids hair cut here for several years. The adult side of the salon is state-of-the-art, and I always have a great conversation with Chuckie during my haircut. My two sons--ages 4 and 6 -- love the toys in the kids room. They always fight over who gets to get their hair cut in the racecar chair first lol

Love this place! Brought my two children in for haircuts and they got very nice, professional haircuts. The staff was warm, welcoming and they made sure they went out of their way to make sure our experience was exceptional. We will definitely be back in the future! Highly recommend it!

Went July 13th with my 6 month old and realized for the ambiance that it is gonna be a memorable experience as it was the first timer for my baby's haircut. To my surprise the guy - dont know the name seemed to be in a hurry and in this process cut the ear of my 6 month old baby... soon the blood was rushing out from the ear... to my horror he seemed to be normal and though he apologized but as a parent who gets perturbed in case of injections to the baby, we all (including my 4 yr old daughter) had tears in our eyes seeing the blood and the guy's behavior (reckless, rude, careless and unkind). I would not at all recommend this salon for the kids/infants in this case. Beware!

Definitely I wouldn't go back to this salon. I took my 15 months old boy. Soon after the hair cut that lady left the place without even giving us a napkin to wipe his face and neck. We had to call her up to get a napkin. After reaching home we saw many hairs were left without cutting properly. Except for the funky set up and letting the baby sit in that car shaped seat its not at all worth paying $22+tips. I prefer Supercuts over this salon they are very friendly, not so expensive and are so soft at handling kids.

I took my son in for a haircut and found it to be very friendly and comfortable and he received a very nice haircut. Definitely going back again!

1 star is too much. I guess things have not changed since Sep 7, 2010 from another feed back on another site. I took my 4 yr old yesterday for spur of the moment hair cut. My son wanted to go back to a place where it was a "kid place" instead of the barber shop. Way back when,I used to take him into a kid hair salon in Ridgewood but did not feel like taking the drive & since this place was close to home I said "ok" BIG MISTAKE!!!! My son got the owner of the salon..As I told him what I wanted in the blink of an eye he CHOPPED his beautiful thick hair to thin it out. And as I told him that was not what I wanted but since he CHOPPED it, he had to fix it to make it even, he made it worse! Had to take him this AM to barber shop who explained this look like "an amature" who cut his hair,completely uneven & messed up his hair. Thank God he was able to somewhat fix what was unprofessional done. Will stick to Barber Shop. STAY AWAY FROM CHARLIES KIDS SALON!!
