Medical Weight Loss
Weight Loss: When a person experiences significant weight loss through diet, exercise, or surgery, they are often left with excess, sagging skin. Removing this extra skin can help a person complete their weight loss journey by providing them with the arms they’ve been working for.
Primary Care
If a patient is prescribed medications by their primary care physician, they should continue to take them; however, any vitamins and herbal supplements will have to stop prior to surgery. Our doctors will advise when it’s safe to resume taking these supplements post-surgery.

I have thought about breast augmentation and fixing my tummy for such a long time and was never able to commit to surgery. Even now, the day before my surgery, I have to say that it is still seems somewhat surreal to me. I know some may say it’s vanity but I think of it more as a presence. I want to have the presence that I used to have before age, weight, childbirth and breast-feeding came along. I’ve enjoyed being a mom and enjoy getting older because I gain wisdom. BUT, the idea of having symmetrical full breasts and a smooth tummy, the thought of wearing a bikini again and not having to tuck my tummy under the waistband-wow, it is just exciting, scary and amazing all at the same time.

An ideal candidate for a tummy tuck is an individual suffering from excess, sagging skin around the stomach region and weak muscles or separation of the muscles caused by the effects of aging, weight loss, or pregnancy. Patients who are interested in receiving the abdominoplasty procedure should be in good overall physical and mental health, aware of the associated risks, and have realistic expectations. Tummy tucks are not substitutes for losing weight through natural means of a healthy diet and regular exercise routine. Before having the surgery, patients who are losing weight should be near their targeted goal weight. If women considering tummy tuck procedures are planning to have more children, it is often recommended that they wait to undergo the surgery until after they have completed their families.

Ultrasound
I was told 2 things about you this week that were completely unsolicited and unexpected. During my ultrasound on Friday, the woman at my OBGYN’s office asked if the same surgeon who did my breast reduction was doing the lipo of my bilateral breasts. I told her no, and that it would be you. He response was, “Oh, thank goodness. You picked the best surgeon there is. I see breasts all day long and when there’s work that is perfect, Dr. Pinsky is always behind it. “ She went to say, “When a woman has problems, like you do, Dr. Pinsky is never responsible. His work is stellar and you’ll be happy.” Wow!
MRI
Symptoms include breast enlargement or hardening, persistent pain, lump in the breast or armpit, or most commonly, swelling from a large fluid collection surrounding the implant—the latter of which would require an MRI and aspiration of the fluid for specific testing. These symptoms typically develop 8 to 10 years after the implant was placed.

Dr. Reisler earned his Bachelor of Science degree from University College London and his MBChB degree (MD equivalent) from the University of Dundee Medical School – two of the most distinguished teaching institutions in the United Kingdom. After obtaining his medical degree, he completed a highly selective training program at the Oxford Deanery, during which he was extensively trained in general surgery, trauma, orthopedics, and otolaryngology. He went on to serve as Plastic Surgery Senior House Officer & Registrar at Oxford and London. He pursued his further academic education in the United States, where he was involved in fundamental scientific research at the NYU Langone Medical Center and underwent an internship at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Medical Center. Additionally, Dr. Reisler completed a Microsurgery Fellowship at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, where he later served as Chief Resident of the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Residency program. During his residency, Dr. Reisler further enhanced his knowledge, skills, and expertise by undertaking a second Fellowship in Cosmetic Surgery.

Breast Reduction
A breast reduction, also referred to as a reduction mammaplasty, is a cosmetic surgical procedure that is specifically designed to help women restore normal body proportions by lifting the breasts, reducing their size, and enhancing their shape or contour. The breast reduction surgery is often a vital treatment method for women with overly large and sagging breasts that are causing them discomfort. It can be effective at eliminating the negative physical symptoms, such as neck or back pain, groves in the shoulders from bra straps, and raw rashes in the folds under the breasts. Breast reductions are also beneficial for correcting noticeable incongruities for women with two very different sized breasts.
Breast Lift
A breast lift, also referred to as mastopexy, is a sophisticated cosmetic surgical procedure designed to help women raise and reshape their breasts to restore a more youthful look. As a woman ages, it is very common for the breasts to lose their firmness and begin to sag as the result of aging, gravity, weight fluctuations, pregnancy, and breastfeeding. Thigh Lift
Fight the signs of aging: The skin of the inner thigh is particularly thin and has poor elasticity. As we age, the medial thigh area begins to sag. A thigh lift can tighten the underlying structures and remove excess skin for a more youthful contour.

Neck Lift

Blepharoplasty
Transconjunctival blepharoplasty: Deep fat pockets under the eye, commonly called bags, can occur without developing excess skin. In this case, skin does not need to be removed, and the incision is made inside the lower eyelid. This technique can completely avoid visible scars.
Abdominoplasty
A tummy tuck, or abdominoplasty, is common for men wanting to reduce their girth through the middle. The procedure can reduce sagging skin and excess fat and tighten loose muscles, restoring a firmer, flatter stomach. Many male patients are successful in defining muscles and strengthening their arms and legs but struggle with excess skin around the middle. For those men, a procedure to remove the skin without tightening the muscles may be the right solution.
Nose Surgery
The patient should expect to feel some discomfort after the anesthesia wears off. The patient will also feel as if his or her nose is congested. However, the doctor will prescribe pain medications to ease the patient’s discomfort. Another way to ease the discomfort and help in the healing after the surgery is for the patient to sleep with his or her head elevated for a while. There might be a drainage of blood and other fluid.
Body Lift
Lower body lifts are usually performed within the hospital under general anesthesia. While the surgery typically lasts from three to six hours, you will be required to stay in the hospital overnight for observation. To begin the lower body lift, one of our experienced plastic surgeons will make an incision from the lower back around the hips to the front of thighs.
