I have not been to a 'real,' professional podiatrist in my life and this being my first 'real' appointment, my mind filled with leary expectations. I was having a toenail crisis, the first of my life, and I needed the help of a professional Podiatrist. My St. Luke's Doctor referred to Dr. Dusty Christensen, Kansas City Foot & Ankle. I was pleased when my urgent phone call changed to a same-day appointment. I had almost 3 hours before my same day appointment and was surprised by how quickly the office team at Kansas City Foot and Ankle processed my personal health files/information. The Dr.'s staff utilizes online systems to help customers input prior health information and establish my new account information, all before I arrived for my appointment! I have never had a health group create my profile, pull in my prior medical records, verify my insurance, and establish my new patient account. Their new patient application process is intuitive and fast. However, the people working behind the scenes to 'work the magic' are polite, kind and professional. I was established as a new patient within 30 minutes, at home and all done before I arrived at the office!Kansas City Foot and Ankle provides patients an excellent website providing customers current information, plus the website has a good review of each doctor. Before my appointment, I educated myself about many new procedures, and I learned about Dr. Christensen's medical background, experience and some details about his life. When I arrived at Carondelet's Health Group, I was greeted with a smile and a hello, and within a few minutes, I quickly moved to the Doctor/Patient consultation room. Within ten minutes, I was greeted by Dr. Christensen, who had read my file (Yes, I was amazed!) and after evaluating my big toenail, was able to explain my toenail etiology and provide several excellent treatment options.Overall my feelings about KC Foot & Ankle has been one of the Best Healthcare Experiences in many years. I highly recommend KC Foot & Ankle for any person needing all levels of professional, podiatry care.God bless.
