Dr. Neis primarily sees adults and has a special interest in cardiology.Dr. Miles Neis has spent all of his life around a doctors office. Growing up in Olathe, Kansas, he would go most days after school to help out around the office where his father was a surgeon and his mother a nurse.It was natural for him to follow into the field of medicine. He went to the University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City and completed a residency at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is board certified in internal medicine.For four years he served in the U.S. Air Force, first in Fort Worth, Texas, then Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri, rising to the rank of major. He was appointed chief of internal medicine and later chief of hospital services, overseeing the medical staff.Dr. Neis then set up a medical practice at the Lake of the Ozarks, where he had enjoyed many summers during his youth.He has been an established physician in Osage Beach for more than 25 years. I have watched JCMG grow and knew that it fit my goals as a physician, he says.In his leisure, Dr. Neis enjoys boating and driving the exotic cars he has owned over the years. Ive always liked cars, and my interest just kind of went up the ladder from old cars to newer cars, he says.He and his wife, Neenah, chairman of the board of Duenke Enterprises, have two adult daughters Kim, who is in nursing school, and Kristen, who recently graduated from the University of Missouri.
