Pampered Pets

Because of Pampered pet's negligence with our six month old show puppy we are now facing a large vet bill and our puppy might need surgery and still might die. We took our six month old puppy (beagle) here for a two night/three day stay. We brought him in a crate which we use for transportation. When we went to pick him up they gave us back the crate which had been left inside the kennel run with him for the entire three days. The crate was destroyed (to the point that we will have to purchase another one) because they put him into the kennel run with the crate and ignored him for the entire stay and didn't either (1) notice he was destroying the crate, or (2) tell us that he had chewed it up and therefore could get sick or die from ingesting the plastic pieces he chewed off. When we picked him up he was visibly thinner and was sick. They handed us our destroyed crate saying they did not know when it happened. When we got him home he would not eat and immediately began throwing up pieces of the plastic crate (see pic). We took the puppy to our vet this morning. Our vet x-rayed the puppy and could not tell if all of the plastic was out of his stomach and bowels. She said that you can't always see plastic in an x-ray and if he is still throwing up after lunch to bring him back for possible surgery. I called the owner after we left the vet office and and asked her to pay the vet bill(s). The owner with whom I spoke with would not identify herself and told me that it was the puppies fault for eating the crate! She said that they weren't about to watch the puppy 24 hours a day and it wasn't their responsibility to make sure that he was safe! I could not believe she not only felt that way but would say that out loud to me. I just can't understand how she feels she is not responsible for the the safety of a pet dropped off in her care. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE! The ladies are really rude, very unreasonable and just plain crazy!

After 20 years, we still receive the same excellent care of our new and aging Fox Terriers. Over the years, all dogs have been lovingly cared for. Patti and her staff are knowledgeable, hard working and our dogs can't wait to visit them. They come home as happy and healthy as we left them. We never worry whether we're overseas or nearby, gone for a day or month. Reservations in advance are necessary because Pampered Pets is so much in demand by concerned Pet owners
