        Welcome to Hamilton Heights Child Development Center! We have three convenient locations in the Omaha metro area. At Hamilton Heights, we work hard every day to create a warm and nurturing environment that is necessary for learning, growing, and developing. We want every aspect of our service not only to meet, but also to exceed your family's needs. We want to ensure that Hamilton Heights is not only the right place for your child, but also the right place for you. At Hamilton Heights Child Development Center we strongly believe that children learn through play. We further believe that meaningful learning involves active, hands-on experiences and participation. Therefore, we provide each child a personalized educational experience to support and develop their maximum potential in their social, emotional, cognitive and physical growth.We are committed to enhancing children's self-esteem through daily interactions, developmentally appropriate experiences, and relationships based on mutual trust and respect. Hamilton Heights aims to equip the children with the life skills that will enable them to experience fulfilling and rewarding participation within their community, through providing opportunities to work together cooperatively, to explore human relationships and to practice non-violent conflict resolution strategies.Learning to live with others in the "here and now" world and learning to better understand this world will help children succeed in their present environment, prepare them for future environments and give children an advantage as they continue to grow. We strive to build a nurturing community, drawing upon a three-way relationship of teacher, parent, and child. We believe that open communication is key to monitoring a child's educational progress and success.         Hamilton Heights is hands down the best center in Omaha. The directors and staff are top notch and go above and beyond for the children and families in their care. There is a reason they are consistently voted "The Best of Omaha!"

        Physically yanking my daughter around

        156th & Maple location. Many complaints, but I draw the line at making a child physically uncomfortable/hurting her! Two separate incidents I watched via webcam where teachers not so nicely yanked my 14 month old around by her arm, whiched she later complained of her arm hurting while at home. The tenured lead teacher of the classroom was fired, but the other teacher was still working there when I left, as I was told the retention for the webcam video had expired for the first incident. I have many additional complaints, as the teachers didn't care about the children at all and didn't even give my daughter her security blanket, which she never needed more than the month and a half she was there. Didn't take any steps to get to know the kids as individuals and didn't care to. Daily info sheets said the same thing everyday, as if that's even realistic.

        Great director!

        Jane, the director at 127th, has been in the business of child care for almost 3 decades and it shows! She understands the needs of the children, making parents feel comfortable, seems to give her staff the tools to achieve their classroom goals and makes hamilton heights feel like a home. Thank you, Jane!

        This is by far the best child development center I have ever come across. The teachers are amazing and this center is set up perfect for the kids.
