Oconomowoc Parks & Recreation is one of the departments operated by the city of Oconomowoc, Wis. It provides communitywide parks and recreation services. The department comprises recreation and park and forestry divisions. The recreation division is responsible for providing recreational programs and activities for all age groups. It provides various programs that include sports leagues, leisure and fitness classes, and youth and adult instructional programs. In addition, the department cooperates with and assists various state groups, organizations and clubs to provide recreation services throughout the community and surrounding area. Its park and forestry division oversees more than 25 park sites and designated open space areas. The department is also responsible for maintaining the urban forest. In addition, Oconomowoc Parks & Recreation handles various other responsibilities that include routine maintenance of facilities and equipment, providing support services for recreation programs, and park improvements and developmental services.
