BEWARE

This giy will tell you anything. Look how many cars he has there and nobody working on them.

Also ask the businesses around him what they think.

He is running a ponzi scheme.

The positive reviews are probably written by him.

Great Service and Best Price for Timing Belt

My minivan has never run better since this service. I shopped and they gave the best estimate over the phone. I did go with the recommendation for a new water pump at the shop, yet the total was the same as the second best phone quote for the just the timing belt.

Great Service and Honest Pricing

Do not get this place confused with Lael's Internation, that is pratically next door. Lael's is a total rip off!

I first took my car into lael's international and Lael himself told me I needed to replace all of my hoses and belts which cost around $600, I got my car back and when I drove down to San Diego, the car broke and it was the same problem in which it broke down before. I had it towed to Laels which cost me another $170, then Lael told me, I needed a new radiator which cost around $400, lael ran the car and it died. It turned out to be the Head gasket, then lael told me it was going to be between $1500-$2000 to fix the head gasket. I was totally disgusted with Lael and his service so I took the car next door to SMITTY'S SURFSIDE GARAGE. I talk to Joseph (The Owner) over the phone, he was upset that Lael's ripped me off. I felt more comfortable especially after he told me the price to fix my car. He quoted me at $900. He kept the car and tested it before he gave it back to me. I recommend everyone Smitty's Surfside Garage!

Smittys is Great!!!

Took in my 2001 Jetta and they looked at it after I went to the dealer and told me to come back in 4 months when the brakes "really" would need to be replaced. They seem very honest and the Owner took the time to show me just what I need and when I would need it.

Thanks Smitty's

Overall
Job well done

I brought in my 1962 Ford Falcon... and not only did they take care of my car but took the time to help me make a list of what I needed to do for the paint and body restoration.

I was very happy with the owner Smitty and was suprised at how clean the shop was and the waiting area where I watched a little TV and was able to check on my e-mail.

Thanks,

Brett D.
