Paul was amazing!!! I rarely leave customer reviews - but I was so pleased with his professionalism, knowledge, and efficiency I couldn't stay quiet. He was very patient with my questions and answered them fully. I appreciate not being treated like a "job" but like a customer. GREAT JOB PAUL!!!

Very quick service on this brutally cold day. Two professional, smart, knowledgeable, courteous, friendly technicians. The new remote and exterior pin pad are much better quality than what I had, and the door operates more smoothly and quietly. They straightened out the bottom panel, did some maintenance, and did not try to sell me a door I didn't need. I'm very relieved and grateful.

Service was great! Our installer, Paul, did a great job of keeping us informed of where he was, being on time, and explaining how the garage doors work and the maintenance of them. Paul helped us program our keypad and programmed our remotes for us, too. Paul also demonstrated that the doors' safety mechanisms worked. There were only a couple bummers about the deal - - I couldn't pay in full with my credit card without incurring a 3% fee (though I could put my deposit on the credit card with no fee), they did not install light bulbs in the new openers (I thought that would be included with what we paid), and there were cigarette butts in my driveway (annoys the crap out of my husband and me). Other than those things, it was an absolutely great experience. Happy Thanksgiving!

The gentleman on the phone gave me a price, and then I called back the next day with a coupon. He refused to take the coupon, saying the price the previous day was the coupon price. He then claimed that I had 'used' the coupon the previous day. He then hung up on me while I was in the process of closing out the conversation!

This is the only place I will do business with from now on.. Reasonable prices, and Chuck did a great job.. I would definitely recommend to everyone I know..

After a few calls about my door not working correctly, i decided to give A1 a try. The young lady who took my call was very nice. She told me about the free service call with a repair. Told me the technician would do a full inspection so i would know what was wrong. She sent Dennis. I was so impressed by him! He answered all my questions and was very polite and patient with me. I chose to let him repair the door. After adjusting the springs and putting some new rollers on my door; its quieter now and worked flawlessly. If you call A1 ask for Dennis to be your repairman and you wont be disapointed.

Called for service regarding my door not opening. The technician they sent was very knowledgeable and found that the spring had broken. Fixed the problem and gave us a tuneup on everything. Total bill was under $200! Thank you Paul!

When I called to request service the woman on the phone told me it was $45/ea for the springs and $125 for the service call. A total of $215. There is a charge of $50 for the service call that will be waved if I get the repair.



When the repair guy arrived he said that he did not have my size spring on the truck the ones he had were $85/ea. Now the total is $295. If I did not go with the repair it would have cost me $50 for the service call estimate. I had to get my car out of the garage to get to work so I had it done. The repair guy was done in 20-30 minutes.



I kind of feel like it was a bait and switch situation. The woman said $45/ea for the springs not knowing what size springs the repair guy had on the truck? She did not ask me what size door I had or the length of the springs. She had no idea what size springs I needed, how could she even give me that price? My guess is that they quote people the cheapest spring but then only carry the most expensive springs on the trucks. Instead of the repair person carrying a bunch of the most common springs. In fact, I am about 1 mile from a Lowe’s why did’t he just run up there an get the correct springs? I really hate when businesses operate like this.



I did give them three stars because he was here in three hours, completed the job in less than 30 minutes and did a good job.

Garage door broke yesterday and the tech, Jim, was out today and had it fixed before I got home from work. I'm very impressed. New springs, cables, and rollers and the door is so quiet and smooth now. A+ for sure.

Get a quote before getting the work done, (partially my own fault). $380+ for springs? Never again.

one of the best companies for garage doors in michigan, they did a great job for me, i would recomend them to anyone who needs a garage door put in or repaired.

These guys were great. I was able to schedule quickly, and the work was done right away. Price was reasonable, too. I'm very pleased.

Great experience!!!! Had my car trapped and was not able to get the door open. I called A-1 Doors at 6 am and they had me out and on the road in no time. Not only was i on time to work , they didnt even charge me emergency rates. Strongly recommend this company. Thanks.
