Primary Care
Yes. My new medical practice will not take the place of general health insurance coverage. My practice is a primary care medical practice, not a health insurance program. You are advised to continue your HSA, PPO, Medicare or other insurance program.
Family Practice
Dr. Belsky takes the time to get to know you. She begins with your health history, your family health history and your current health status, It doesn't stop there. Knowing where you are in life, and the unique stresses that you are going through helps her work with you as a team to get to optimal health. This also helps to guide you should you become ill. Our medical staff can assist you in scheduling tests and procedures. In addition, to ensure continuity and quality of care, Dr. Belsky personally attends to you if you are admitted to Evanston, Highland Park, Glenbrook, or Skokie Hospitals.
Emergency Care
As a member of LWMA, you will have Dr. Belsky's cell phone number and e-mail in order to get in touch with her. This allows easy access to me for urgent medical problems that occur outside of my regular office hours. Ideally, I want to hear from you when you are ill or injured before you go to the hospital or an urgent care center, but as always, immediately after you have called 911. For non urgent issues, you can e-mail LWMA and you will receive a prompt (usually within 48 hours) response. Because email is not secure, please use discretion when choosing topics to discuss with me via this medium.
Electrocardiogram
This extended wellness exam, not in connection with any illness or injury, will include an extensive array of screening tests and examinations. The exam generally will include a detailed physical examination, EKG and spirometry. Additionally, I will review your medical history and risk factors using health questionnaire and direct interview tools.

Internal Medicine
Dr. Belsky is board certified in internal medicine, enabling her to serve as an effective observer and diagnostician. She notices imbalances early on, recognizes what tests to order, evaluates the results, and proactively charts a game plan in response. Ifa specialist is needed, she selects the best match for you, not only in terms of specialty but also personality - ensuring that you receive the highest quality personalized care. In addition to her medical training, her experience as a physical therapist enables Dr. Belsky to expertly differentiate between disease and musculoskeletal symptoms, possibly saving you the extra time, energy, and money associated with getting to the root of a medical problem.

Stress Management
In high school, Dr. Belsky moved to New York City, where she became a professional dancer with the Joffrey Ballet for eight years. Through this experience, Dr. Belsky is intimately acquainted with being at the top of one’s physical game. She knows, however, that optimal health looks different for each of us. For some, it is running a marathon,for others walking two miles a day. Optimal health is multifactorial and includes nutrition, exercise, sleep, personal connectedness, and stress management. Wherever you are in your health journey and whatever your goals, Dr. Belsky is delighted to support you in getting from “here” to “there.”
