Frog Hollow is a great facility for kids. My kid has gone there since two months old, she is now three and a half. She has grown up with the kids in her room and loves it here. She is eager to go to school everyday (though she also likes stay home days). The interaction she gets there is just what she needs and the teachers have been responsive to my concerns about her. She has projects she brings home and songs she's learned that she wants to share. As for price, if this is your first child and you are taking them to a facility you will get sticker shock. I was shocked when I enrolled her as an infant and it cost as much as my monthly house payment but infants require more attention and that costs. I priced other facilitates and they are about the same. You would think that the price would go down a lot as they get older and it does go down but the prices raising every year, you don't notice the discount much (until maybe school age). If price is really an issue you have to think about what you are getting in exchange. Would a home daycare be cheaper? Yes, but then you are exposing your kid to kids of all ages and who knows how much real education they get. My kid is in with kids her own age, working/learning at their age appropriate pace. My kid will be staying at Frog Hollow as long was we need, it's a great facility.

Hi all! Wow, two reviews on the same day after two years of nothing!! What are the odds? Anyhoo - I had taken my child to another place in North Liberty that abruptly closed with no warning at all. Frog Hollow did not have any openings but it still opened its doors to the the children from our former place. It also hired quite a few of the teachers that were left out of the cold just like the parents. I can't tell you how much better Frog Hollow is! And we didn't even realize it until we were forced to change.

We have 2 kids at Frog Hollow and I am very pleased with the quality of care they receive. They both enjoy it and openly speak about how much fun they have each day. Very rarely do they ever come home upset about anything related to Frog Hollow. One of our children has been there since it opened, so I know what I'm talking about with regards to witnessing turnover at Frog Hollow: Yes, there is some turnover of staff, but not like one reviewer made it sound. No, the turnover doesn't concern me as a lot of it are the ebs and flos of hiring young adults from college - it is Iowa City, as a reminder. I have been pleased with the level of communication the management gives regarding my children. I would recommend this facility to anyone. The downside is the cost, but much of that is the result of location, location, location.

I pulled my children out of Frog Hollow after a series of incidents that showed very poor judgement on the part of the caregivers there. There is very little childcare experience there, high turnover, high ratios and poor management. It's a great building but there's not much inside. It's the fast food of daycare.
