Stay away from this business! Ken failed to inform me of his diagnostic fee when I dropped off a generator, then changed the fee amount when I declined to have the work done that he suggested! He also would not re-assemble the unit and returned the parts to me in a box, saying it was his policy. Fees and policies should be disclosed before a customer leaves equipment for repair and I will not return to Ken's.

A friend took his Honda pressure washer to Ken almost a year ago, since it wouldn't run. Ken charged $120.00 to replace the carb. As people often do, my friend again let it sit too long (even with fuel stabilizer in it) and the carb gummed up again. He took it to Ken, and Ken wanted another 120.00 to fix it, by replacing the carb.



Ok...took three screws to remove the carb, one gas line, and another screw to remove the float bowl. A litttle carb cleaner, and running a single strand of cat5 wire through the carb jet, and we were back in business, took ten minutes.



This is a common problem with rarely used engines that are carbeurated...and this was a common fix. To be honest, I probably could have simply removed the carb's float bowl and cleaned out the jet that way...in about three minutes.



I wouldn't go to this guy. Either he's a parts changer, or looks to maximize his revenue at every turn.
