Relocated from another Lynd Property out of state in May, 2013 HOPING for a better result. SEVERLY disappointed. The unit wasn't thoroughly cleaned and that was the first sign of trouble. We sent a list of things we identified as problems when we moved in to the office and nothing was done. We noticed a high electric bill and realized we probably had a faulty thermostat. When maintenance finally came to look at it, they said nothing was wrong with it but replaced it anyway (which told us they didn't want to admit there was a problem or that they were at fault). At night, an endless parade of waterbugs run around outside and, from time to time, find their way into your unit. Along with the waterbugs, we've found a variety of different bugs including spiders, gnats, silverfish and even a roach inside our unit. We've had the complex place us on the list for spraying more than once but the pests seem to still be around (and we do not keep a filthy home). Our kitchen is fairly small and even it wasn't thoroughly cleaned when we moved in. The grounds aren't kept that well as trash is constantly piled up at, in or around the dumpster. A roofing company was recently hired to replace the roofing on the buildings and they're no better leaving trash all over the property and in the stairwells. There has been constant rain this summer and on one of the days the roofers were working on our unit, we ended up with water spots on our ceiling. The ultimate insult came today August 17th, 2013 as, without notice, the water was shut off. I attempted to reach the rental office by phone but, as always, there was no answer. I then went to the rental office in person and the young lady working there explained she was the only one working as her reason for not answering the phone. I advised her that no matter what day I attempt to contact the office, they rarely answer. I then asked when the water would be back on and she said it was shut off for some sort of emergency and would be back on in a couple of hours. This conversation took place around 1PM EST... it is now 9:43PM EST and the water is still not on and there has been no attempt to communicate the status of the water shut off to any of the residents. DO NOT come to WOOD CHASE APARTMENTS! I will NOT be renewing my lease and would advise anyone looking to LOOK ELSEWHERE!!!
