Dr. DeGroot has been named one of Boston's "Top Doctors" and also named one of the "Leading Physicians of the World." He has been doing volunteer work in Nicaragua, Central America for more than 12 years, where he performs surgery, teaches students and residents, and participates in national program development for orthopedic education. He sponsors a International Observership for orthopedics to surgeons-in-training from all over the world. Dr. DeGroot speaks French, Spanish and Italian.
Minimally Invasive Surgery
Dr. DeGroot now offers non-surgical treatments for arthritis and joint disorders, joint replacement surgery, and minimally invasive surgery in his office in Key West, Florida. Outpatient services are not available in his Massachusetts office. In Massachusetts, Dr. DeGroot sees only emergency and trauma patients.
