Liberty Apartments in Newport News would be a great place to live if not for the constantly reoccurring and lengthy sessions of noise from other tenants. If you live here, you may be subject to long daily intervals of repeated stomping, crashing, continuous throwing and slamming down of heavy objects and loud booming music all of which vibrates through and often shakes, rumbles and jolts everything in your apartment from ceiling to floor. Good luck finding a resolution by contacting management. They've done nothing to stop these continuous, sporadic daily sessions, even after having talked with the management team dozens of times over the course of MONTHS and having called the police after days of sleep deprivation. "They're doing everything they can but unfortunately there is a [multi-month long] process they have to follow" is what the management team says, but they essentially have no power nor authority to sufficiently control angry, unruly, inconsiderate or spiteful residents. Earplugs when sleeping in combination with a white noise machine on 24/7 does not damper noise of this intensity. No tenant should have to render themselves nearly deaf nor should they have to park a jet engine beside their head daily just to attain some level of respite. But hey, YOU TOO can experience the mindlessly obnoxious and inconsiderate behaviors of one (or more) of you neighbors for months on end, followed by the complete inability of Liberty Apartments' management team to control the situation, for a low, low monthly price of over a $1000 a month! Tenant Satisfaction may vary. Management and staff will not be held responsible in the event that the property rules detailed in your lease are violated. Also maintenance staff may periodically throw a new HVAC filter against your door and laugh about it with their buddies in the hallway during the quarterly procedure. They like to set the bar high for professionalism at Liberty Apartments.
