Overall

best mexican food in town. although i have not eaten here since 1991, this is my favorite restaurant of any cuisine. the paella is plentiful and to die for. the enchiladas are always moist and filled almost to bursting. the guacamole tickles the tongue and lets you know why avacados were invented. the black bean soup is without rival. the virgin coladas are so rich they should be declared illegal. friendliness is a side dish served here that other restaurants would dl well to emulate. i have been away from my favorite place for a long time--far too long. it is about time i return to my favorite restaurant in my favorite part of my city. if you are ever in greenwich village and do not eat at tio pepe's. then you have missed the best dining in town. eat here.
