Incorporated in Pakistan in 1949, National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) is one of the largest universal banks in Pakistan with assets over US $9.3 billion and deposits over $7.8 billion. The bank is majority owned by the government of Pakistan. National Bank of Pakistan s U.S. branch offers a full range of international trade and banking products and services, including letters of credit, bank accounts or deposits, loans and commercial payments. It has a domestic network comprising more than 1,100 branches and 29 regional centers covering the entire country. The Banker, a publication of the Financial Times awarded the bank Best Bank in Pakistan in 2001, 2002 and 2004.
