The Kanzhongguo Times is a global weekly newspaper distributed across four continents and focuses on issues dear to the Chinese people. It is the largest Chinese weekly newspaper in New York. It originated from the Kanzhongguo website (www.kanzhongguo.com) that was first established in 2001. By 2006, the website was ranked among the top 10 Chinese news websites in the world reaching 20 million hits a day. Since its inception in February 2006, the Kanzhongguo Times has reported on countless issues ranging from the macro-level, such as actions of the Chinese government, to the individual-level, such as immigration tips. Culture is also an important part of the paper as history, arts and literature are well-covered. The Kanzhongguo Times does not shy away from sensitive topics and strives to report candidly using first-hand accounts and commentary from subject matter experts, thus establishing an esteemed status among Chinese readers.
