The Attorney General has an eye on this company for billing its commercial accounts for merchandise it does not ship. This company has a history of billing their commercial accounts for merchandise that has never been shipped. They do it by having the art directors, studio managers, or purchasing agents order art supplies, in return the customer service, purchasing, and shipping departments send everything from Hi-DEF TV's, expensive photography equipement, and American Express gift cards to these people. The company then bills it (through the customer service department) as regular art supplies. This practice (or theft of services) is considered standard operating practice for this company. As one of the purchasing agents once said,"How many reams of copy paper are we gonna bill this company for before they realize that we're stealing from them". Twice a year they hold a promotional event that's called the "phone blitz", during this time they pay their salesforce and customer service reps to sell as much mechandise within two days and then compensate the customers by kicking back either American Express gift certificates or home spun A.I.Friedman gift certificates. The utter lack of morality and pride in one's work is compensated by giving money to the employees for keeping mum about what they see. The Atorney General should have no problem with their investigation when they speak to the billing department, select employees of the customer service department, and most of the purchasing and shipping department.
