We went to NY and made reservations to go and eat, Morimoti was on our top list as some of our friends went to eat in his restaurant in Philldelphia, gave it a 5 star but over priced.

Anyhow we went there for lunch to check out if we will go back for dinner, anyhow we all ordered Bento boxes, with black cod and Kobe beef, the Tempura had a cheese dipping sauce which was very untasteful and smelly, black cod came with whole black beans and bean sauce, very untasteful and Kobe beef overly cooked.

We thin Mr Morimoto should check the restaurants menu and cooking every now and then personally to see what is being served, the only good thing about the restaurant was the ambience and the bar and bathroom downstairs.

Overpriced and not a good quality of food served,good sushi should usually melt in your mouth but this was not the case at Morimotos.

The service and food were great.....but we felt terrible when manager came to us at the exit and said that we did not leave enough tip. The more important is to pay the bill and… it is customers’ wish to leave tip or not to leave tip. We (4 girls) left $35.00 which was a little less than 10% but still this is customer's wish how much money to leave. Totally unprofessional !!!
