I loved this bakery when it opened. I even gave them a gift a Magnolia night light since their theme was based on a loved one. I have purchased their goodies thought out the years. Today I needed personal attention and the owner would not even talk to me. Wow how fast she forgot that where she started and customers are the ones that keep her in business. I will never go back there again. May God Continue to bless her and her family.

i have had a similar horrible experience with this bakery. AWFUL customer service. When i finally got my cake almost 2 hours later (because the owner had a cheerleading event with her daughter and just didnt have time), it looked nothing like the picture i gave them. The only credit i can give them is that it actually tasted good. The owner insulted me, by saying the only reason i was complaining was because of the price of the cake. My parents bought the cake for my daughter as their part of her party and my dad is an engineer, they are not hurting for money, so that ASSumption was uncalled for and way off base.

The WORST service ever! Got there an hour and a 1/2 after cake was supposed to be ready, and they tell me "I have to wait 15 min", despite the fact cake had been ordered 3 weeks prior! I explained the baby shower was starting in 15 min and that the cake was supposed to be ready. They offered no apology! Instead they had me WAIT 35 minutes, making me extremely late for the event. Again... No apology or any kind of discount for the major inconvenience. Left very disappointed, with the promise never to return or have anything to do with super, unprofessional business they call bakery, just to find out the following day that they charged my debit card twice. Not to mention, the friend who recommended me this bakery, explained that her only downfall experience with them was that she also had to wait. I assumed it was just a busy season for the bakery. I guess I was wrong! Apparently this is just the norm! If I could, I would've given them a zero star rating! Stephanie

Overall
awful

I brought in a picture of the cake I wanted for my newborns baptism, it was to be ready by 4:30pm the Saturday before the 11am Sunday morning service. The cake wasn't ready until 10 minutes after 6pm and it looked awful. The owner/baker's excuse for the failed attemp was that her daughter must be more important to her than my daughter is to me because her daughter had a cheerleading event, she had more important things to do and I couldn't understand that.

WHAT????? This all came out of the owners mouth. I would have been glad to take my business elsewhere if she had prior arrangements, insted she rushed the cake and completly insulted me to boot.

Then she had the nerve to say that I was only complaining because of the cost of the cake. My dad wanted to pay for the cake, and I didnt have a budget (hes a railroad engineer who make close to $120 thousand a year). So that definitly was not the case.

The owner has a severe lack of professionalism and her counter workers are childish and lack the ability to serve customers.

STAY FAR AWAY!!!!!

The taste is good but service and appearance is awful!

Thank you for taking the time to offer your opinion. In most businesses things can and do go wrong. However I have built my business on the notion that family comes first. If those who patronize this business cannot relate to this, then it would be best to take your business elsewhere. Moreover anyone who has ever had a day that just goes wrong from the beginning can understand when it happens. We at Chez RuRene bakery do at least make every effort to inform customers when this does occur, and try to make every attempt to do what can and should be done. But once and awhile something will spiral out of control and not much can be done about it. In this particular situation the customer could have said " Well the cake really isn't needed until the next day(11 a.m)". Which would have totally eliminated the need to complete the order before the close of business that day (meaning I could have worked on it when I returned from my daughter's function). The cake was picked up Saturday for Sunday use. If there was a problem they could have called that night not 2 hours before they were going to the baptism. Yes I agree the shop girl handled the matter inappropriately, they are young and do need to grow up.(But they just don't do that overnight). In close the customer did receive a full refund and was told that if she feels someone else can do a better job for her, then she should do business with the other people. I appreciate the fact that she stated the cake tasted good, we do pride ourselves on that. We don't see very many complaints but when we do we try, and sometimes we fail. The failure to try is the only failure.
