Today my fiancé went for lunch at the McDonald’s on Green Street, it was during the lunch rush and they were quite busy. She made her order, paid, and then had to pull over and wait for several minutes until the order to be ready. From experience she thoroughly checked the order, and as expected they forgot to add an item; she went in to inform them of this, and they kindly gave her the nuggets and an apple pie for her trouble (they must give away more pies than they sell).
Upon returning home with our meal, she discovered that they had made her chicken sandwich without adding the chicken! I can understand forgetting lettuce or tomato, but how can you make a chicken sandwich and forget the chicken?
I immediately called to speak with a manager (Tanya) to inform her of this and she of course apologized and offered for us to come back. I asked how to reach Kelly, who works directly under Kathy and Kevin Setter; she then referred me to the store manager, I explained the issue again to the store manager and once again requested information to reach Kelly; I was then informed she was in the store.
I spoke with Kelly, asked her if she remembered me from our last encounter (she did) and explained my new dilemma to her. I immediately could tell by the disrespectful tone in her voice she had little to no concern for my trouble. She generically apologized and offered for me to come in to replace my meal.
I returned to the store not to get a replacement, but because of Kelly’s poor tone, a refund. Tanya approached me and apologized, I told her I did not want the replacement but a refund; she asked Kelly for permission, and Kelly did not realize this, but I saw the dirty look she gave me as she told Tanya to give me the refund. Tanya looked through all the items in my bag, and failed to give me a full refund because I did not return the Coke’s on the bill.
You would think after all the trouble I had been through, the least they could have done was give me a free Coke, gas is not cheap!
