He spent six years under the direction of concert pianist, Kim Schmidt of Chicago and received private instruction from jazz legend Alan Swain (Alan Swain Publications) who is on the staff at DePaul University. Steven Haas also taught as a professional private piano teacher for three years at All Ages Music School near Chicago, IL. The philosophy of Piano Lesson in the Home in Los Angeles is that piano lessons should be positive, informative and fun. The first memories of piano are important to developing a love for the instrument.
