Jeff Newman also took money from me on a major basement finish. He stole $17,400 on a $25,000 project. He left my house in a very dangerous state and I have little kids here. The framing work...some wall boards swing, some bottom floor boards are not nailed to the floor!! How many more has he stole from?? Please get a hold of me!!

I had given him a $4,000.00 check to do windows he took it and spent it on his own things for personal things. Telling me four different stories about my home's windows while working on my homes kitchen floor which was finished the firsttime without grout in under the stove nor was there any threshold put in that took two weeks to get corrected then he had chalky unpolished grout not sealed just cracking and coming up. He sent back only that man over to refill the cracks I got early on then more cracks showed up all over. Then I asked why the floor was so unlevel and so sad to look at after I paid good money I had another contractor come look and he said my floor will always come up loose like this over and over again because the newman company man did not level the subfloor. The tiles will never be the right I called him telling him that he sent a man to regrout the whole floor even that youngman agreed, but said the grout was at least better. During all this I found he defaulted on doing my windows, but had no money to pay me back my $4,000.00 So He took one and a half years paying me back moneys to me. And know again My floor has bad cracking and loose tiles he has lied to the better business bureau and they have backed him. But I have a floor falling a part. It was not proper that the better business will let him get by with lying about someone who was abused by a contractor who yelled on the phone to her that he did not want to hear another _ _ _ _ _ing Conplaint about his work so I sent a letter about the floor out of fearing him and his anger. Linda Humphries If you need to ask details call the better business bureau and ask them why if I had a floor falling apart the do nothing. He told the better business bureau he had been to my house over four time fix my tiles right and I have a room mate that does not work that is there everyday and another that is retired neither one of them have ever seen him. He is just very sad as a business man. I am a single woman trying to pay for repairs on a buget and this man told very serious stories to the better business bureau that was not true about his wanting to get the job done right for me. So I have since called him and left a message asking him to make good on what he had said with no response. Do not pay him until a job is done. Make sure you read the contract on my one contract he wrote that his men only had to cover the rotten wood and repair wood or cover wholes or repair anything damaged and I did not read properly thinking that what we talked about was what was done. Don't be simple.
