Not to impune the other reviews, or if employees were changed, I actually had a really good experience with this company. My sister's car was towed there by Johnson,Co sheriff's department. I called and spoke with the lady, she was very helpful respectful and gave me all the information I needed to convey to my sister to retrieve her vehicle. Upon energy the lot I was courteously waved in and was properly addressed by employees. I'm not saying hat anyone is lying about them, I really had a good experience with them. Thanks for reading.

Greenwood Wrecker Service Assault & ThreatsPlease do not use Greenwood Wreckers in any instance. After my son-in-law's car was towed after being rear ended on Friday and he and grand daughter were transported to Community South, Greenwood police had car towed to Greenwood Wrecker Service storage lot. Police advised occupants of the car to get over and claim car because articles are being stolen out of the cars when handled by this firm. (Hix Towing). My wife and I went retrieve the car. Upon entering the office I was greeted by a very unprofessional lady. My wife started to walk over to the damage car and was screamed at by the employee. She said we could not pick up the car because we were not the owners. After I questioned why she screamed at my wife, she became very foul mouthed. I walked out and sat in my car and called my daughter who was transporting my son-in-law home from the hospital and explained the situation. They drove to Greenwood Wrecker Service with truck registration to show proof of ownership. They entered the office and the women became very abusive to them during the intent to return truck. She used her very very foul mouth once again. My daughter exited the office with her keys and pulled the truck up to the front because she and papers and items in the tuck she needed because she is a special ed teacher. Once again the woman became crude and ballistic because my daughter moved the truck. A heated argument began and she called one of drivers out on call to return to the storage lot. Mind you, the entire lot is secured with remote controlled gate and no one can leave or enter without office activating the gate. The driver of the truck pulled in blocking my daughter's truck. As my daughter was standing next to her trucks driver side door, the tow truck driver grabbed her my both shoulders and shoved her against the truck. My son-in-law went to protect her as well as myself. The driver was thrown to the ground to get his hands off my daughter. He then threatened to get his gun. My daughter and wife called Greenwood Police. I'm sure towing company also called as soon as truck was moved and heated argument in the office was in progress. Police responded and driver said he never touched my daughter and was only reaching for the door handle. As luck would have it, security camera captured entire event. We filed police report and tape is being sent to city prosecutor for review so we can file assault charges. On the company website other physical attacks were documented. I contacted the mayor's office and asking how such company can exist in Greenwood. I plan to follow up with whom ever is in charge of permits to operate a business in Greenwood. Being this company is under contract with Greenwood police, I might have to go to the village board or attorney. I await return call from the mayor's office on Monday. I have reported this information to the police.

Hands down one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever dealt with. Both the guy & girl were unpleasantly rude. Very unprofessional, poorly ran.. Pray your car doesn't get taken here.

Greenwood Police had my car hauled there after a car accident. I phoned to find out where they were located to pick up items from my car. Gal who answered was rude and not helpful. She then gave me to a guy. When I clarified the address city he made a smart remark that ' Greenwood, that is why I answered the phone Greenwood Wrecker Service!' Granted it has been a rough morning BUT they should be more professional and have an understanding of the clientele they are dealing with....people who may be in pain. I will speak with my friends in the city about moving their business elsewhere.

If at all avoidable, NEVER go here. If you must, get your car out of the lot as soon as possible! I was in a front end collision and the police had my truck towed there. When I went to retrieve it, the office personnel was very unprofessional and had no idea about how my truck had been handled, which I understand isn't really her job, but when she's the only person available on the entire lot...Anyway, the wrecker had dropped off my truck and left the key turned onto the accessory setting all night, leading to a dead battery. Then, as my boyfriend was testing out the truck, to make sure it was drivable, the wrecker came into the lot and started screaming at us about driving around his lot, shoved my boyfriend and my other friend, verbally threatened all three of us, and spout forth a stream of obscenities that I shouldn't post in a public forum. Needless to say, there was no professional manner about this business and I hope that some people will see this and (hopefully) never have to deal with what I went through.
