Overall

I had a switch put in my attic with a shop light hung. I had to take a phone call from work and I left for about fifteen minutes. When I came back the wiring was done and he was just putting up the shop light. Jimmy and Electrotech will take care of any of my electrical needs in the future and I highly recommend them! 5 stars and two thumbs up!

I did not have a great experience with Electrotech. I have an electric driveway gate that needed to be rehung. We contacted them to come and rehang it. I thought we were getting a quote but they went ahead and fixed it so we paid the bill. It was a bit higher than I expected so I asked for a breakdown of the charges. I found out that we were being billed for the travel time of the tech to come to my home. Also I was charged for the time that the tech stopped at Home Depot to shop for parts that I didn't need. But they were nice enough to refund me the time the tech was shopping and I would have given them 4 stars if it wasn't for this last issue. Two days after they fixed it, it started scraping the concrete when it opened. So, I contacted them to ask them to come out and fix it. And I was told "Please call someone else to fix this problem". So now im out over $150 and my driveway gate still is not operational. Very unprofessional in my opinion. Maybe you will have better luck than me.

Overall
Horrible experience

I had horrible horrible horrible experience with Electrotech. Their employee Matt spent 3 hours on a simple switch wiring problem, which could cost only 10 minutes, and he broke the wall around the switch with a 2-inch hole. When I called their boss Jared Godwin, who acted as a total jerk, he shout at me over the phone and threaten to call the police. I had other electric contractor work for me before and I really regret to hire Electrotech.

First of all the problem was mot in the switch the problem was a burned wire in the wall above the switch, which had been there since the house was built and had been stapled too hard cauing the whole problem. I am surprised that Matt found the problem as quikly as he did seeing that he can't see thru walls. In order to fix the problem or even get to the wire the wall had to be cut. The main problem was that this man,not even an American citizen or fluent in our language did not want to pay his bill and wanted me to pay for his wall repair. I offered to fix the wall for more money or refer him to a sheet rock repair man. How anyone can fix a wire burned up in a wall without cutting the sheet rock is beyond me. he also reported us to the Better Business Bureau and the charge was totally dismissed after my conversation with them.

Emergency Repair

First of all, I want to thank Jimmy and Dave of Electrotech for their quick work and friendly demeanor. These guys are the real deal and are a must to have in any situation as they deliver in quality, appearance, time, and price. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable are the folks of Electrotech and I cannot overstate that enough. Anyone needing electrical contracting, these are the guys and the company to get in touch with. I will definitely recommend them to my friends and professors.
