Founded in 1971 as Volunteer Capital Corporation, J. Alexander s opened its first restaurant in 1991 in Nashville, Tenn. J. Alexander s is a contemporary American restaurant that serves American-style food. It uses original artwork as part of its d cor in each of its locations. The restaurant features a menu that includes hardwood-grilled steaks, baby back ribs, salmon, daily fresh seafood selections, soups, entr e salads, burgers and sandwiches. In addition, J. Alexander s offers a variety of American wines. The restaurant provides a range of gift cards that can be exchanged for food items at any of its locations. It has operations throughout Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Tennessee and Texas.
