Lived in Napa for over 30 years .. Butter Cream is a Napa Icon.. Been going there for years. Went in to have Breakfast this morning.. The wait staff all had scowls on their face it was very uninviting.. Sat down took the waitress several minutes to bring us menus. Left came back 5 minutes later an asked what drinks we wanted. Knew what we wanted to order told her an we was told I can't take your order before the table next to you.. They weren't ready to order.. The food was ok service during meal was minimal. Then to find out my neighbor whom works there got yelled at by this waitress due to the poor tip I left for the crappy service. She was lucky it wasn't 2 pennies.Then the manager had the nerve to say I was rude to the waitress.. If that's the way to treat locals an employes NO THANKS. I WILL NOT DO BUSINESS WITH AGAIN.. I miss the old owners RIP!

I was appalled. I have been a customer since I was 14 and have always found it a wonderful place to go. I watched our waitress, be rude to (unfortunately) a mentally challenged staff member. I was treated with a surly look as a greeting. Being that I only have an hour for lunch. I was told that other guests hadn't ordered yet and I was to wait. The food was a great deal for the price. If my waitress hadn't made it such an unpleasant experience I would still recommend. However, now I won't ever go back such cruelties are unacceptable. What a loss of one of my favorite restaurants.

All of my family is from Napa so I often come for visits and wine tasting. A must every morning whenever I come to Napa is the Butter Cream Bakery! I love this place and their doughnuts are to die for. I love the maple bars, old fashioned glazed, and the child in me still loves the cake doughnut with chocolate frosting and sprinkles. This place is a must see for any visit to Napa and you can never forget the quaint pink & white striped building once you go!
