Nacogdoches Animal Shelter

They gave me the wrong age and sex of the kitten I adopted, and issued a citation despite getting the kitten neutered. They either have a scam going with this, or they want to punish people who adopt animals.

They killed my cat, Edward, that i had to give up.He is scared of many things.He was high strung, thats why we kept him outside where he can run free.He was sweet once he warms up to you. He always rub against my leg when i go out to visit him.He never hurt anyone only hisses, maybe. The people at the shelter only gave him two weeks before he was put to sleep. They did not contact me at all or even put me in the system. They put him in a cage where he stay in the corner like a frighten cat would.Where they have them in cages when they should just turn the whole room into a cat haven where they can play and interact with other cats. They were able to pet him but he didn't relax. If they called and said they where going to put him down i would have taken him back. The only reason i had to give him up in the first place was I'm moving and couldn't find him a home.My mom thought it was a NO KILL shelter since they put it in bold and uppercase.I cried for so long and still do when i think about it. I was lucky enough to have my best friend there to help me out.They killed my cat Edward because they couldn't understand him or even took the time.I thought I was doing good for him, Thinking the shelter could help him. I was wrong.Pass these tears I angrily type this in hope to save a life and save someone from the pain i feel.

These people are crazy! They issue warrants for the arrest of people for not spaying or neutering animals adopted from the shelter. They do not care if the animal has been spay/neutered or not! They even issue warrants on people who adopted animals that were already spay/neutered! These people obviously hate people and animals and just want to take it out on the public. Just go to the Wal-Mart parking lot and get an animal that someone is giving away. Much less hassel.
